ASL Services contracts job coaching services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing,
and Deaf/Blind Clients.  Job coaching services may be funded through a
variety of sources.

Job coaching services our agency provides may include:
  • Resume Preparation Assistance
  • Job Search Assistance
  • Interviewing Practice and Coaching
  • Interpreting for Employment Interviews
  • Interpreting for Job Training Programs
  • Post-Placement Job Support

An important role of the job coach is to act as a liaison between employer
and employee to eliminate any barriers that may arise on the job due to a
hearing loss or use of sign language. This includes job assessment,
training in Deaf culture, teaching effective communication to the hearing
and Deaf in the workplace, and making resources available to both the
employer and the employee.

The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is a State
Agency that provides services to help persons with disabilities prepare
for, start, and maintain employment.
